Katie McMorris is a writer and dancer from Ann Arbor, Michigan. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Purdue University, where she won an Academy of American Poets Prize, and is currently a PhD candidate at Oklahoma State University. Her poetry and fiction have appeared in Gulf Coast, Passages North, cream city review, and elsewhere. As a dancer, she has performed at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and as a soloist with Ballet Vermont’s Farm to Ballet Project. She is interested in the intersection of language and movement. She’s currently finishing her dissertation remotely in Western Massachusetts, where she works at the coolest indie bookstore and spends her free time at various public libraries.
